Benefits of Buying Local

In 2011, the value of all manufacturing shipments in the NWT was approximately $9.3 million. Manufacturing is a small sector of the territorial economy, but it employs about 200 people among a dozen or so businesses. As diamond manufacturing comprises the main segment of this sector, growth prospects for the industry are dependent on the ability to attract experienced manufacturers in this area. The NWT does represent a great opportunity for manufacturers in all sectors.
